We are seeking applicants for the position of Director, Technical Operations. Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director, Broadcast & Technical Operations, you will oversee a staff of two (2) and manage day to day technical operations, video boards, audio systems, and coaches film within our athletic facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Oversee all videoboards, scoreboards, and sound systems in our athletic facilities
Research audio/visual infrastructure among intercollegiate and professional athletics
Onsite support during varsity events for all audio/visual needs, including scoreboards
Point person for DvSport and coaches challenge replay systems within facilities, including staffing
Represent the athletic department and advise in technical areas with the University
Support the athletic department and personnel with answers to technical problems
Develop strategic plans for equipment including maintenance and replacement schedules
Forecast emergent technology trends and implementation
Co-Lead on Technical Operations Capital Projects within our athletic facilities (videoboard, audio system and coaches film installs)
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience
Knowledge in digital video, fiber, and audio systems
Experience with Daktronics videoboards and systems, Meyer Sound audio, Hudl, and DvSport
Great communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with outside groups, students, faculty, staff
Experience in supporting event operations staff during athletic events
Outstanding organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work on deadlines and handle several responsibilities simultaneously
Strong knowledge of current and emergent audio/video technologies
Significant independent judgment and self-motivation

The expected pay range for this position is $77,000 - $80,000 per annum.
