Head Coach - Women's Lacrosse

St. Lawrence University invites applications for a Head Coach for Women’s Lacrosse. The head coach will direct the development, organization and management of all phases of this Division III Women’s Lacrosse program. Primarily responsible for the instruction of athletes both on and off the field and in the classroom, organization, administration, coaching and recruitment. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to the academic mission of the University and to a competitive NCAA Division III Athletics Program. Salary range $58,459-$60,406 annually. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

 

Additional duties will include the following:

  • Recruitment of highly qualified student-athletes

  • Direct student-athlete development both on and off the field; ensuring academic success, good citizenship, sportsmanship, and promotion of positive values consistent with the mission of St. Lawrence University

  • Program organization; including practice planning, game preparation, and systems implementation for both offense and defense

  • Ability to supervise, evaluate, and effectively provide direction to one graduate assistant coach

  • Additional responsibilities include a secondary assignment such as game management, intramurals or teaching in the minor, as well as other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Any combination equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and three years of proven success as a coach of a club, high school, or intercollegiate lacrosse program.

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit diverse, quality student-athletes

  • Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, faculty/staff, University community members and alumni

  • Knowledge of all NCAA and Liberty League rules & regulations pertaining to DIII women’s lacrosse

  • The candidate must have the ability to understand the needs of students, colleagues, and communities from diverse backgrounds, identities and intersections. They must demonstrate a distinct commitment to creating an equitable and welcoming environment that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • The ability to meet University requirements to drive a university vehicle required.
