Gameday Graduate Assistant

Southwestern College is currently seeking applicants for a Gameday Graduate Assistant.  This position is on a 10-month contract that runs Aug 1st – May 31st.  Southwestern College, an NAIA institution and member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC), is a private comprehensive college with an enrollment of about 1,700 students.  With a main campus in Winfield, Kansas, it also offers degree completion programs online.  It is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and for more information about the college, please visit www.sckans.edu.

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Assist and coordinate the set-up, execution, and breakdown of home contests.

·        Coordinate an increase interest around SC Athletics in the local community

·        Develop and implement initiatives to increase student attendance and engagement at athletic events

·        Plan and execute game production efforts for all sports

·        Create unique in-game fan experiences that add value to patrons in attendance while creating a home-field advantage for our student-athletes

Qualifications

·        A bachelor’s degree is required

·        Applicant must obtain acceptance in Southwestern College’s graduate program

·        Applicant must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends)

·        Able to lift and move athletic equipment

·        A valid driver’s license is preferred

Position includes

·        Full tuition waiver – approx. $22,000 value (http://www.sckans.edu/graduate/)

·        Meal stipend ($500 per semester)

·        $5,000 stipend
