Job responsibilities:
Work within the university mission to provide a competitive, unique, and memorable collegiate athletic experience for student-athletes.
Instruct and observe student-athletes in individual and team skills.
Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes within the scope of MIAC, NCAA, and university guidelines as well as reaching annual recruiting goals.
Monitor team and individual academic success and degree completion.
Maintain a program compliant with NCAA, MIAC, and university rules and guidelines.
Build, develop, and maintain contacts and relations with athletic alumni, high school and club coaches and benefactors.
Partner with the development office to raise funds for the program in conjunction with university, department, MIAC, NCAA guidelines.
Oversee all necessary administrative responsibilities for the program including budget management and prompt submissions of expenses.
Support, respect, and advance the mission of Saint Mary’s University as a Lasallian Catholic institution.
Coordinate, supervise and mentor assistant coaches.
Perform secondary duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
