Saint Francis University, a Division III member of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, invites applications for a full time Assistant Director, Athletic Communications. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting with publicizing the 21-sport Division III intercollegiate athletic programs at Saint Francis University and all aspects of the Saint Francis Athletics program, including but not limited to, game day include operation of live statistics, posting to social media, writing game recaps, and managing broadcast operations and student workers. The Assistant Director will be the primary media contact for select sports.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Saint Francis University, the PAC, and the NCAA. In addition, the candidate must understand and actively support the mission of the Department of Athletics and Saint Francis University.
Eligibility requirement: Candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship or assist with work authorization.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree is preferred. Excellent writing, computer, organization, and communication skills are necessary. At least two years of experience in sports information/athletic communications professional level preferred. Experience with desktop publishing (InDesign), graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator), and video editing. Knowledge of live statistical and game-scoring software platforms (Stat Crew and NCAA live stats) for football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer is preferred. Experience with graphic design and video editing is also recommended.
