Graduate Assistant –Sports Information

Quincy University seeks qualifies applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant-Sports Information.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

·         Serves as representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with members of the QU community and with the public.

·         Assist in promotion of appropriate material for distribution platforms.

·         Develop comprehensive social media strategy for all sports programs.

·         Assist in arranging team and/or individual photographs and videography for all sponsored sports.

·         Assist in the production of graphics and post-game stories/press releases.

·         Maintain athletic website

·         Recruitment of student volunteers

·         Develop and promote relationships with local media

·         Stat sport contests at home contests.

·         Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Sports Information and/or Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Enrolled in Quincy University’s Master’s Program

·         Knowledge of multiple software programs

·         Strong written and verbal skills
