Assistant Athletic Director, Budget and Finance
Penn State University is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Athletic Director, Budget and Finance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage the development, oversight, and reconciliation of all athletic department and related budgets, including p-card transactions.
• Oversee procurement, payment of invoices for goods and services.
• Manage all payroll and part-time personnel actions on behalf of the department.
• Work in conjunction with the Nittany Lion Club to monitor accounts.
• Compile data for analysis and forecasting purposes.
• Assist with strategic planning for the business office.
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial and statistical reports for distribution to coaches and staff
• Assist with departmental long-range financial planning and corporate sponsor cultivation and coordination.
• Oversee submission of contracts to be reviewed and approved by the necessary offices.
• Deposit revenue on behalf of the department, providing required information for check and electronic payments.
• Manage Business Office staff members to ensure daily transactions are processed appropriately.
• Assist in being the point of contact for areas of finance and administration, including purchasing, budget office, payroll, and accounts payable. Assist with human resources related duties.
• Work closely with the Athletics administrative staff to ensure proper financial procedures are followed by all varsity programs
• Must adhere to all NCAA/B1G University rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Financial Officer including providing oversight, support.
Bachelor's degree required and 6 years of relevant experience.
