Development Assistant - Annual Giving

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Actively managing donor relationships with the goal of increasing donor support for Ole Miss Athletics.

  • Building relationships with current and prospective donors by participating in fundraising and stewardship events including home gameday activities.

  • Assisting donors with the purchase and allocation of tickets and parking for all sports.

  • Working collaboratively with donors to ensure proper stewardship and timely fulfillment of membership benefits.

  • Assisting in day-to-day operations of the Annual Fund and Ole Miss Athletics Foundation offices.

  • Working closely with the Annual Fund and Ticket Office staff.

  • Assisting with preparation for various events organized by the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation or marketing staff.

  • Working with reports from the donation and ticketing software for various purposes.

  • Promoting the growth of revenue through innovative programming and marketing within the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation.

  • Representing Ole Miss Athletics in a positive manner by interacting well with donors, fans, alumni, and community members.

  • Maintaining institutional integrity through the compliance of NCAA, SEC, and University policies, rules and regulations.

  • Working some nights and weekends.

  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

  • One year of fundraising, ticketing, or sales experience in a college athletics or related setting.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Computer application skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word, Apple products, donation and ticketing software (Paciolan preferred), and email.

  • Knowledge of the practices, principles, and methods of fundraising and general fund management.

  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC compliance rules and regulations.

  • Ability to be highly energetic, self-starting, and creative.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.

  • Ability to effectively work in a highly consultative and collaborative environment.

  • Ability to give and receive information through vision, speaking and listening, and effective motor coordination. Corrective devices may be used.
