The Northeastern Athletics video department is looking for a video producer to assist in all video efforts related to Northeastern University Athletics. This position is a 11-month internship.
The ideal candidate is an individual with a strong work-ethic and a desire for good storytelling, who loves being part of a team and leading by example. The Video Producer will play a key role assisting with all video efforts, including multi-camera live sports broadcasts and post-production content for online distribution. This role is designed to give an individual the chance to hone his or her skills in a control room/production truck and to take ownership of a live sports broadcast – from both a technical and storyline standpoint. This role will provide a platform to work with high-achieving, dynamic Division-1 student athletes and teams, and to create an impressive production reel that showcases a wide variety of creative skills.
Assignments vary week to week depending on the NU athletics calendar and event schedule, however the position will average roughly 40 hours per week. The video producer will gain valuable experience in field production at various athletic venues, serving all roles of a gameday production staff (Director, Producer, Technical Director, Camera, Graphics, Replay Operator). There will also be ample opportunities to cover Northeastern athletic teams from a creative/social standpoint, and to travel to select events as a creative shooter and editor. During the week the video producer will prep for live broadcast responsibilities, work on editing projects, and handle other assignments as needed.
