Head Men's Golf Coach

The head coach will be responsible for leading, organizing and administering all phases of the men’s golf program in accordance with NCAA, Summit League and North Dakota State University rules and regulations. Head coach will be responsible for coaching student-athletes to successfully compete at the highest level nationally; recruit qualified student-athletes; organize practices and training sessions; and develop of a high level of match preparedness. Additional responsibilities include scheduling; fiscal management; active engagement in promotional, marketing and fundraising activities; and developing community and alumni support. A high level of collaboration with support personnel within the athletics department is expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Strong background in golf skill analysis and techniques.

• Thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA Division I rules and regulations.

• Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.

• Experience in motivating players to achieve maximum levels of performance.

• Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues and the public.

• Evidence of strong organizational skills.

• Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated professional behavior.

• Two years coaching or playing experience at a competitive intercollegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to successfully train athletes’ individual skill development.

• Evidence of successful coaching and recruiting experience at a competitive Division I program.
