
The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for engaging and cultivating Wolfpack Club donors, alumni, and fans for the purpose of renewing and/or activating their annual membership and ticket purchases through NC State Athletics, primarily through outbound sales calls as well as supporting the annual giving team internally through prospecting and communication efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
•Engage and cultivate new members to the Wolfpack Club primarily through phone and digital outreach.
•Assist with prospect and development strategy including but not limited to event follow-up, list pulling, and drafting communication pieces.
•Meet or exceed weekly sales goals by completing between 50 – 75 outbound calls daily.
•Meet or exceed monthly sales goals by completing between 25 – 30 visits monthly in designated territory.
•Recruit 100 new or lapsed members annually.
•Increase philanthropic donations by $100,000 to various allocations and revenue streams.
•Game day responsibilities and special events required. Expectation is to attend all home football games, most home basketball games, and various other home sporting events as well as additional events throughout the year and various sporting events at other institutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
•Update and maintain touchpoints within CRM platforms (currently Paciolan, Salesforce, and Advance).
•Engage and build relationships with companies and individuals to maximize philanthropic giving. Attend various events to capitalize philanthropic giving.
•Be a liaison to a sport program and work with the program’s coach for sport-specific fundraising initiatives.
•Process payments as needed as a result of sales of the annual giving team.
•Offer exemplary customer service and value to donors and potential donors.
•Assist with Marketing, Communications, and Events when needed.
•Other duties as assigned by the Director of Annual Giving and the Wolfpack Club Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Minimum of one to three years development or fundraising experience.
•Experience with CRM databases (preferably Paciolan and Salesforce).
•Customer service or sales experience (preferably in a sporting environment).
•Strong team player with ability to partner and communicate with colleagues, staff and donors.
•Commitment to excellent customer service for donors, fans and university staff.
•Strong time management skills, organized, and able to prioritize and meet goals and deadlines.
•Experience providing leadership by example and influence with a collaborative, team-oriented, highly communicative approach.
•Self-starter with an ability to move multiple engagements/projects forward to completion.
•Ability to proactively identify strategic opportunities.
•Willingness and ability to travel regionally and work nights and weekends as required.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
