Provides high-level administrative and operational support to the football program. This position serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, manages day-to-day office operations, and assists with scheduling, communications, and event coordination.
Responsibilities & Duties
Directly partners with the athletic department’s Executive Team to ensure effective communication and collaboration on all football administrative issue
Prioritizes and arranges meetings, conferences, and appointments with key departmental units and leadership, while ensuring Head Coach is available as needed.
Assists with operational budget planning and fulfillment
Assist the head coach in the completion and submission of necessary NCAA Compliance documents
Assist with the coordination of recruiting activities, including itineraries, official/unofficial visits, and recruiting mailing in compliance with NCAA rules
Process travel paperwork for recruiting, assist with purchasing card statements, and reimbursements for football staff
Assist the Athletics Business Office with any needs, including processing invoices, requisitions, and budget tracking as assigned
Build, monitor, and communicate calendars of all team activities
Could have duties for both home and away contests
Support the planning and execution of football-related events, such as banquets, alumni functions, and community outreach
Serve as the first point of contact for the football office, greeting visitors, answering phones, and responding to inquiries
Supervise any federal or university student workers
Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports and meeting materials
Maintain departmental records and files
Maintain office supplies and overall organization of the football administrative space
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Requirements
Two years of college.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
Three years of Administrative experience required. Additional college education and related work experience may be exchanged year-for-year to meet qualifications.
Must possess excellent typing, office procedure, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Must be able to work with a variety of people.
The ability to multi-task is critical.
Keyboarding, filing, MS Office Suite programs, office procedures; bookkeeping may be required.
