Job Description
    • Leadership, operation, and management of the MSUM Softball Program in accordance with University, Conference and NCAA rules, regulations, and policies.
    • Duties include but are not limited to: Scheduling, recruiting, practice planning/organizing, budgeting, supervising assistants, public relations, departmental fundraising, and camps.
    • Teach Courses in the Health and Physical Education Department
    • Engage in service to the University and community.
    • Support Minnesota State University Moorhead’s strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.
    • Other Administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • Minimum 2 years of college coaching or 5 years High School or club coaching within the past 8 years with proven record of success.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and support student-athletes athletically, academically, and socially.
    • Demonstrated ability to teach physical education skills course and or basic health courses.
    • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Demonstrated success working with student of diverse backgrounds including sensitivity to their needs and concerns

Preferred Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in related area
    • Knowledge of NCAA Division II recruiting rules and regulations
    • Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy of the NCAA Division II athletics and student-athlete experience
    • Familiarity with the central region and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference
    • Ability to fund-raise
