Head Men’s Wrestling Coach
Midway University is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Head Coach of its Men’s Wrestling program. This full-time, 12-month position plays a key role in furthering the athletic, academic, and personal development of student-athletes while upholding the mission and values of the University.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes to meet roster goals and achieve competitive and academic success in alignment with university admissions procedures and scholarship policies.
Plan and conduct regular practices, develop game strategies, and manage in-season and off-season training programs.
Coordinate all aspects of competition logistics including scheduling, travel, equipment, video analysis, marketing, and statistical reporting.
Monitor academic progress, enforce team rules, and foster a culture of discipline and sportsmanship.
Hire, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches and program volunteers.
Oversee program budgeting, fundraising efforts, and promotional activities.
Ensure compliance with all Midway University, NAIA, and relevant governing body rules and regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Prior coaching experience required, with preference for collegiate coaching and recruiting experience.
Knowledge of NAIA eligibility and compliance rules is essential.
Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
Must successfully pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
