Midway University is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Athletic Director for Operations & Administration to play a key role in the success of our athletic programs.
In this role, you’ll oversee everything from athletic facility scheduling and game day operations to fleet vehicle coordination and departmental administration. You’ll also help ensure compliance with eligibility requirements across governing bodies such as the NAIA, IHSA, USBC, MSFL, and USA Archery, while representing the athletic department on university committees when assigned by the Vice President of Athletics.
Lead and manage all aspects of game day operations, from set-up and staffing to in-game administration and event tear-down.
Oversee facility scheduling for athletic events and other campus activities.
Coordinate event contracts, student forms, and waivers while maintaining compliance with all university and athletic conference policies.
Collaborate with coaches to schedule athletic camps and support student-athlete academic success.
Supervise the department’s work-study program and coordinate fleet operations.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and serve as a trusted point of contact for coaches and staff. Will serve as an administrative point person for designated sports, as assigned by the Vice President of Athletics.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree required with previous college coaching experience.
Minimum of three years of athletic administration experience.
Strong knowledge of eligibility and compliance (NAIA experience preferred).
Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software tools.
