Job Summary/Basic Function: Direct, organize and administer a Division 1 Women's golf program. Duties include coaching, recruiting, scheduling, scouting, team travel plans, part time teaching and budgeting funds. The Head Women's Golf Coach will direct, organize and administer all aspects of our Division I Women's Golf program. Essential duties also include but are not limited to: day to day coaching, individual skill instruction and recruiting NCAA Division I eligible athletes; scheduling competitive NCAA Division I competition; scouting opponents; oversight of all team travel plans; oversight and promoting compliance of NCAA rules for golf staff and athletes; budgeting assigned funds; serving as a positive role model and enhancing the image of the university's golf program, and promoting positive community relations. Work to enhance fund-raising efforts for the golf programs; Contact athletic alumni for financial support; entertain them at selected athletic events and perform related tasks or special projects as assigned. Promote and ensure compliance with NCAA rules, provide appropriate compliance paperwork and documentation within required timetables, report any known violations of NCAA rules and regulations to Director of Compliance. Take and successfully pass yearly recruiting test.
Required Education: Bachelors degree required
Required Related Experience: Two years college and/or professional coaching and/or collegiate or professional playing experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations required.
Desirable Related Experience: Masters degree preferred. Four years Playing and/or Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level preferred.
