The position will oversee the football program’s overall video and audio needs. This position will have an emphasis on over-seeing the coaching video needs of the football program. This includes practice and game coverage, film breakdown, video exchange, film library, maintenance and replacement plans for associated software and hardware. This position will also assist with post-production video requests as necessary. This position requires working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Other duties will include but not be limited to: provide coordination, supervision and execution of all athletic department's DV Sports software and LRS editing systems for Football, Men's and Women's Basketball as well as volleyball. Provide all Conference USA instant replay for Football, Men's and Women's Basketball and volleyball. Hire, oversee and provide GA/student workers for all practice and games for the purpose of scouting opponents, overall team improvement and development of a game day analysis systems used to produce on the field video review for official game requirements. Manage film exchange using Catapult Exchange Platform. Perform graphic work including playbooks, scouting and film exchange forms and players improvement sheets using Excel, Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint. Assist with post game intercutting of video and enter it into the video system for the respective coaches for review. Create highlight footage of recruiting tapes for staff analysis and provide updates and maintenance of coaches digital video laptops, video laptops video equipment departmental video board and other video equipment. The position will assist the Director of Football Operations/ Chief of Staff and the Head Football Coach with other projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
One (1) year experience in collegiate and/or professional video production and editing required. One (1) year experience as graduate assistant in video production and editing in collegiate environment will be considered (to meet the experience requirement) in lieu of the collegiate and/or professional experience.
Special consideration given to experience in College Athletic sports production. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work in a team oriented/fast paced environment and work effectively with diverse constituencies required. Must effectively work and communicate with students, staff and related publics and possess a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Three years experience in video production and editing on the Division I collegiate level preferred. Three (3) years experience as an IT technician may be considered.
