Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree
o Familiarity with sidearm or other web providers.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media, content management, video editing, zoom, google suite, adobe applications, graphics development and editing.
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics programs and Division III
o Ability to work effectively with the athletics administrators, coaches, and sports information personnel
o Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment both in-person and remotely
o Must be located within the footprint of the MAC (reside within 50 miles of three MAC institutions in Pennsylvania or Maryland)
Position Description:
Sports Information 50%:
o Develop and execute MAC communications strategic plan.
o Design and implement MAC-wide recognition and celebration campaigns.
o Oversee MACtv and administration of conference network and broadcasting of championships.
o Manage conference website, including keeping statistics, standings, and records up to date.
o Serve the three conferences and 27 sports as the main source of results, polls, statistics, schedules, and championship information.
o Facilitate regular and ongoing functions of the conference’s sports information directors.
o Serve as primary social media content manager.
Represent the conference at championship events.
Coordinate preseason and pre-championship polls with coaches.
Conference Awards and Championships 25%:
o Oversee all-conference and awards processes including academic honor roll, academic all-MAC, senior scholar-athletes, championship plaques, all sportsmanship team, team sportsmanship awards, Sorrentino award, and hall of fame.
o Manage weekly awards and publicity for awards
o Update and maintain conference championship central pages.
o Responsible for finalizing and communicating championship seeding.
o Coordinate and manage championship and other photography needs and MAC’s Flickr account
o Plan and oversee Annual Awards Luncheon
o Coordinate the production of plaques, medals, certificates, and other conference awards.
o Assist with awards distribution, championship logistics, and other event planning as needed.
o Manage nominations for NCAA awards such as Woman of the Year, and DIIICA awards.
Sport Administration and Governance 15%:
o Assist with MAC Factbook updates and distribution
o Develop materials and draft reports for governance committees
o Manage MAC licensing and branding initiatives
o Represent the conference at official functions including conference and national championships, and other events where official representation is deemed appropriate by the MAC Executive Director.
o Be involved in conference planning and administration.
Other Responsibilities 10%:
o Attend conference meetings and participate in conference calls.
o Assistance with compliance, officiating, and/or scheduling, may be required.
o Represent the conference at official functions including conference and national championships, and other events where official representation is deemed appropriate by the MAC Executive Director.
o Assume other duties as assigned by the MAC Executive Director.
