
Primary Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Competitive Excellence
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the NCAA Division II women’s golf program.
Plan, organize, and conduct practices, training sessions, and competition preparation for preseason, in-season, and offseason periods.
Coordinate travel, scouting, and preparation for scheduled competitions.
Develop individualized and team-based skill development plans to enhance competitive performance.
Foster a positive team culture that supports the holistic growth and development of each student-athlete.
Recruiting & Student-Athlete Development
Recruit, evaluate, and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes who align with institutional and departmental values.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective student-athletes, families, coaches, and recruiting networks.
Monitor student-athletes’ academic progress and collaborate with Athletics support staff to promote academic success, retention, and graduation.
Ensure student-athlete participation in SAAC, leadership development, and other engagement opportunities.
Program Administration & Compliance
Work collaboratively with the Director of Athletics to select and schedule competitions.
Manage program operations within established budgetary guidelines.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff.
Collaborate with Athletics Compliance staff to ensure adherence to all NCAA, RMAC, and institutional rules and regulations.
Maintain accurate records and operational procedures to uphold program integrity.
Health, Safety & Student-Athlete Welfare
Ensure appropriate safety standards are maintained during all team activities and travel.
Work collaboratively with athletic trainers, strength and conditioning staff, and team physicians to support student-athlete health, wellness, and return-to-play processes.
Community Engagement, Fundraising & Alumni Relations
Strengthen program relationships with alumni, supporters, donors, and community partners.
Assist in fundraising and revenue-generating activities, including camps, clinics, and engagement events.
Serve as a visible ambassador for MSU Denver Athletics within the campus community and the broader Denver region.
Other Responsibilities
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of three (3) years of collegiate coaching experience.
Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop student-athletes.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Successful collegiate head coaching experience.
Strong knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
Experience with fundraising, revenue generation, or alumni engagement.
