Assistant Women's Soccer Coach & Assistant Equipment Room Manager

Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

  • Serve as lead assistant women’s soccer coach with specific coaching responsibilities assigned by the head coach

  • Attend practices, competitions, meetings, planning sessions, and other essential soccer-related activities

  • Assist the head coach in the administration and management of the soccer program as assigned

  • Actively participate in the recruitment of student-athletes

  • Demonstrate professionalism and engagement in professional development activities, including but not limited to:

    • knowledge acquisition

    • staying current with teaching techniques, strategies, and trends

    • attending professional meetings

    • serving in leadership positions in professional organizations

  • Adhere to the rules, policies, and regulations established by Luther College, the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C), and the NCAA;

  • Demonstrate a willingness to support the mission, philosophy, and goals of Luther College, NCAA III, and A-R-C;

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.

 

Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager:

  • Effectively develop, organize, interpret, and store institutional equipment and uniforms

  • Proactively troubleshoot and respond to system inefficiencies

  • Assist administrative team in venue pre-competition preparation

  • Assist manager in hiring, training, and supervising of student-work team

  • Assist manager in inventory, ordering, and storing of concessions stand product

  • Coordinate athletics department laundry alongside team of employees

 

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred

  • 1-3 years of successful high school or college soccer coaching experience preferred

  • Experience working with CRMs and institutional recruitment programs preferred

  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends of the college

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • May require exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as noise and distractions.

  • Substantial interaction with people is required and consistently demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude is important.

  • May require occasional lifting of equipment or supplies and/or the ability to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects.

  • The job responsibilities require travel and working evenings and weekends.
