Louisiana Tech University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Operations. This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits and reports to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Business Strategy/Chief Financial Officer.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead a team responsible for the operations and service of LA Tech season tickets, mini-plans, single-game tickets, group sales, and premium seating areas.
- Subject to the approval of the Sr. Associate AD for Business Strategy/CFO, develop a plan to ensure an optimal number of customer touchpoints are executed and tracked on a daily basis. These touchpoints will include, but not be limited to, phone calls, e-mails, texts, in-person meetings, and other forms of communication regarding ticket renewals, new sales, and other necessary outreach.
- Be a visible presence at LA Tech Athletic events and be comfortable stewarding current relationships and creating new relationships with LA Tech Athletics fans and other stakeholders.
- Build an operations team consisting of post-graduate interns and/or student workers that will pursue a proactive approach to customer service that aggressively seeks solutions to customer-related issues.
- Work in concert with various members of the executive staff as well as the Amplify team to develop a sales plan and ticket promotions to maximize revenues.
- Represent the department at community events and be a member of select community and civic organizations.
- Seek out other opportunities that will enable LA Tech Athletics to positively impact the local community.

- Proficiency in mining data to identify prospects.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Ability to work extended hours that are often outside of the normal business schedule such as evenings, weekends, and holidays and willing to travel when necessary.
- Capable of meeting established deadlines and working on various projects at the same time.
- Knowledge of athletic ticketing sales strategies and/or a network of relationships within the LA Tech and Ruston community is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Ticketmaster/Archtics and/or Paciolan preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Direct Oversight Responsibility: 1 FTE position, 1 post-graduate intern and a team of student workers.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- At least two years of experience working in a similar capacity in college athletics, professional sports, sales, or community relations preferred.
