Assistant Athletics Director, Student Athlete Success

Assist in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the athletic department and ensuring the smooth functioning of sports programs.

Support academic services for student-athletes including advisement, class registration, 1-on-1 at-risk meetings, grade checks, and study hall.

Serve as the primary coordinator for all student-athlete support services such as student well-being and addressing academic and personal athletic needs.

Advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisor Committee (SAAC).

Support mission and vision of Lamar University Athletics and Lamar University with integrity and in compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university rules, policies, and procedures.

Provide support to coaches and staff for Teamworks Hub and Teamworks Academics.

Coordinate summer bridge and life skills programming for student-athletes.

Supervise senior academic advisors (athletics).

Assist the Associate Athletics Director with the NCAA academic certification process.
