Knox College is seeking candidates for Assistant Softball Coach.
Knox is a NCAA Division III institution competing in the Midwest Conference.
Essential Duties:
The Assistant Softball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of the Knox College softball program including but not limited to; executing a successful recruiting and retention plan as assigned; integrating the program into the campus community; scheduling, planning, and supervising practices and contests as assigned; assist with administering all aspects of the programs ensuring compliance with departmental, institutional, Midwest Conference (MWC) and NCAA rules and regulations; alumni and booster engagement; assist with the programs social media activity as assigned; assist with equipment purchasing, distribution and maintenance as needed; complete all administrative assignments, and attend all required functions as designated by the Head Coach, Athletics Department and/or the Director of Athletics. Must pass the NCAA rules compliance test and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations. Will provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student-athletes within the NCAA Division III philosophy. Collegial respect and professionalism are expected and required.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects
An appreciation for a residential liberal arts education and flexibility to adapt to constant change
Respect for individual differences, openness to the values and opinions of others, and commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for underrepresented communities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coaching and recruiting at the collegiate level
Experience with Front Rush Database
