
Head Women’s Field Hockey Coach
A dynamic opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and experienced leader ready to guide a competitive NCAA Division III women’s field hockey program. The Head Coach is responsible for the overall vision, direction, and day-to-day operation of the program, fostering a positive team culture focused on student-athlete well-being, academic achievement, and competitive success.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership that promotes a positive, inclusive, and development-focused team environment.
Oversee all practice and game planning, including training design, skill development, scouting, and game-day preparation.
Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes and meet established recruiting goals.
Support student-athletes in their academic progress, personal development, and overall success.
Manage all aspects of the program budget, including equipment purchases, team travel, and recruiting expenses.
Hire, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches, student-assistants, and team managers.
Ensure full compliance with all NCAA Division III, conference, and institutional policies.
Contribute to the broader Athletics Department through committee work, department events, and collaboration on enrollment, fundraising, and promotional initiatives.
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and philosophy.
Three to five years of collegiate coaching or playing experience preferred.
Demonstrated strengths in teaching, strategy, recruiting, leadership, and program management.
Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Successful completion of a background check.
