What you’ll do
Provide evidenced-based nutrition services via individualized and team assessment, counseling, and support.
Deliver nutrition education to individuals, teams, recruits and coaches through a variety of methods.
Plan and oversees all team meals and fueling for away football competitions. Collaborate with on-site culinary team and off-site food vendors to support execution of fueling services needs.
Oversee procurement, inventory management, monitoring of inventory budget, and food safety standards for assigned sport.
Collect, organize and present data in a way that is useful, collaborate and enhances sports performance decision making: manage student-athletes with high nutritional risk and behaviors, perform DEXA body composition assessments, conduct hydration and/or sweat rate testing, and more as assigned.
Collaborate regularly with team staff and coaches on strategies and needs to enhance player performance.
Lead strategic communication for assigned sport(s).
Assist with identifying disordered eating and referring student to appropriate resources.
Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, Big 12, and university policies.
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience.
Registered dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Must have and maintain licensure as a Licensed Dietitian in the State of Iowa.
Experience providing sports nutrition services to NFL or Division I collegiate football athletes.
Experience coordinating large group team meals on the road.
