Illinois State University, a NCAA Division I institution, member of the Missouri Valley Conference invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for Graphic Design within the department of Athletics. This pre-professional, 12-month position includes a tuition waiver and a stipend. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for Illinois State's Graduate School.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with Director of Graphic Design to enhance the ISU experience and tell the story of Redbird teams and student-athletes.
•Create a wide range of professional quality, deadline sensitive graphic artwork for print and digital (e.g. flyers, web banners, social media graphics).
•Conceptualize and design projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
•Manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet established deadlines.
•Study industry trends and innovative solutions that continue to drive the ISU Athletics brand forward.
•Communicate effectively with various stakeholders in the athletic department to ensure quality outputs.
•Assist in mentoring team of ISU graphic design student interns.
This 12-month appointment will consist of a 2-month summer appointment as an hourly student position and a 10-month GA appointment from August to May.
As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference or the Missouri Valley Football conference, the Athletics Department, and Illinois State University.
$1975 a month for .67 FTE
