
Functions to include development and execution of athletics marketing & promotional plans telling the story of Charger athletics, game day presentation and entertainment, as well as executing aspects of advertising and social media channels. Working with the external team, this role will manage and coordinate the fun of athletics through competitions, events, and all media means.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Day-to-day promotion of department, staff and student athletes, through any media source that affords attention to Charger athletics.
Development and implementation of annual athletics marketing plan, promotional schedules and advertising plans.
Manage and carry out game day presentation, run of show and game day entertainment
Promote and improve the Charger athletic brand with social, digital, print and other avenues through local, regional and national outlets
Manage the direction & vision of social media channels; facilitate posting schedules with marketing department and athletic teams to accurately communicate Charger athletics locally, regionally and nationally.
Recruit, supervise, and train marketing and promotions student team for general support and game day operations.
Actively promote Charger athletics and its student-athletes and coaches.
Manage and facilitate team media days with external team
Promotion of community events, department activities and other athletics related events.
Management of budget for Athletics Marketing and Communications alongside Director of Athletic Communications.
Work side by side with creative services manager and audio-visual team.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Required Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sport Management or related field required.
Previous experience in an athletic marketing, promotions, and/or creative services preferred. Experience with game day entertainment and social media management preferred.
Previous experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is highly desired.
Other Skills
Knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to express effectively ideas orally and in writing.
General knowledge of statistical applications used in NCAA sports
Physical Demands
Must be able to ambulate, step, climb, stoop, bend twist and carry heavy objects (i.e. equipment) over uneven terrain.
Must be able to hear, see, talk, read and communicate with Hillsdale College colleagues, athletes, prospective athletes, donors and other constituents orally and in writing.
Must be able to safely lift up to 50+ pounds of equipment regularly.
