Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the men’s soccer program. 

  • Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes consistent with Georgetown College’s mission and NAIA guidelines. 

  • Promote the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes. 

  • Manage team operations, including scheduling, travel logistics, budgeting, and equipment ordering. 

  • Design and lead effective training sessions, conditioning programs, and game strategies. 

  • Ensure adherence to NAIA, Mid-South Conference, and institutional rules and policies. 

  • Collaborate with admissions, faculty, athletic training, and other college departments. 

  • Support fundraising, alumni relations, and community outreach efforts related to the program. 

  • Maintain an inclusive and positive team culture that promotes respect, integrity, and accountability. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • Demonstrated successful coaching experience at the collegiate or high-level club level. 

  • In-depth knowledge of soccer strategy, skill development, and NAIA compliance. 

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. 

  • Commitment to student-athlete academic success and character development. 

  • CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). 

  • Driving team to away games. Valid driver's license required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience recruiting within the NAIA or small-college athletics. 

  • Familiarity with the Mid-South Conference and regional recruiting landscape. 

  • Ability to engage alumni and donors in program initiatives.
