
Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Communications Department. The positions will be a sports information position with the opportunity to also broadcast as needed. Please review the description of the position’s duties below prior to applying. FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference.
SPORTS INFORMATION POSITION
Responsibilities:
· In-game statistics through NCAA Live stats and Presto
· Running or overseeing media table during games
· Contact person for pre matchup information exchanges
· Public address
· Maintaining FSU Athletics website
· Assist with social media accounts
· Writing press releases and game recaps
· Updating historical information for all sports
· Assist in weekly and yearly nominations.
· Opportunities to broadcast.
· Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required and 3.0 GPA to be admissible to desired graduate program if offered position. This position is granted 12 credit hours tuition waiver per term and 30 credit hours per 12-month cycle. A $4,500.00 stipend is paid per semester.
