
· Plan and direct the training and performance of team members.
· Recruit and retain high quality student-athletes.
· Ensure that the program complies strictly with all NCAA, conference, University and Athletics Department rules, policies and procedures.
· Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches in the performance of their duties.
· Ensure the health, safety and well-being of women’s soccer student-athletes.
· Monitor student-athlete academic progress.
· Properly administer the sport budget.
· Occasionally assist in activities relating to fundraising and community service.
· Promote intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the university.
· Cooperate professionally with all members of the university community and media.
· Support the department's commitment to gender equity and diversity.
· Perform all usual and standard duties of a Division I head coach.
· Management / Supervisory duties include:
o Interviewing, selecting, and training of assistant coaches and other athletic administrative staff, as assigned.
o Setting and adjusting their hours of work.
o Directing their work.
o Appraising their productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending retention, salary adjustments or other changes in their status.
o Handling or recommending resolution to their complaints and grievances and recommending disciplinary action when necessary.
o Planning their work.
o Determining the techniques to be used.
