Performance Coach will develop and manage effective individual and team sports performance programs for student-athletes participating in FLC’s NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic program.
Essential Functions:
Develop sport-specific, comprehensive training programs that are scientifically based, and involve periodized/cycled regimens of exercises and drills to optimize strength, power, flexibility, mobility, agility, speed, and/or work capacity designed to enhance sports performance and decrease the incidence of non-contact injuries.
Oversee specific teams as assigned by the Assistant AD - Sports Performance / Wellness.
Demonstrate and implement safe, effective, and proven exercise techniques at each training session and deliver programs in an organized manner using the field’s best practices.
Collaborate with the Wellness & Nutrition Coach to help educate assigned sports teams.
Facilitate a collaborative relationship among sport coaches, sports medicine, wellness coaches, and the sports performance staff.
Develop systems for tracking athlete progress and attendance in assigned sports teams.
Adhere to all FLC, RMAC, and NCAA guidelines and policies, and provide student-athletes with an exceptional collegiate experience while competing for championships.
Employ effective communication skills to establish relationships and conduct work at a high level with a wide range of constituents (coaches, student-athletes, administrators, etc.).
Enforce the Skyhawks Sports Performance standards and expectations to assigned sports teams.
