Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Development Coordinator, Athletics – Boca Raton, FL.

 

Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Revenue Generation, the Development Coordinator, Athletics will work collaboratively to manage the donor relations/stewardship strategy, manage all responsibilities and reporting associated with the daily operations of the Paradise Club team, assist with leading the Paradise Club social media and communications strategies, co-supervision of operational staff who will assist in executing the department’s operations and donor relations, manage and cultivate a portfolio, and ensure that the Paradise Club team executes donors relations and stewardship strategy at a high level.

 

Summary of Responsibilities include:

  • Manage portfolio of active Paradise Club donors, cultivating relationships through outreach and shared experiences.  

  • Responsible for training student and part-time game day operations staff by providing exemplary customer service for season ticket holders, donors, letter winners, and all stakeholders.

  • Perform tasks including scheduling of meetings, overseeing the office calendar, managing office supply orders, and assisting with athletics stewardship and cultivation efforts (donor away travel, golf tournament, luncheons, etc.).

  • Assists the Paradise Club with the fulfillment of membership benefits including priority ticket and parking allocations for season and post-season events including home and away tickets, bowl games, AAC basketball tournament, NCAA basketball tournament.

  • Oversee engagement of collegiate and recent graduate membership including marketing, email and text communication, and events. Be the primary liaison for Varsity Owls.

  • Lead staff engagement opportunities for the FAU Ticket Office and the Paradise Club that promotes a positive culture.

  • Assist with preparing reports per Paradise Club staff requests.

  • Handle confidential documents and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Assist Paradise Club staff with timely completion of projects.

  • Act as liaison to the Donor Engagement and Events team to ensure the success of Paradise Club special events, experiences, and game day operations.

  • Perform special duties and lends administrative assistance as requested by the Paradise Club Leadership.

  • Know, understand, and reinforce commitment to NCAA and AAC rules. Violations or suspected violations will be reported to the compliance staff.

  • Manage all social media and communications strategies for the Paradise Club including Twitter and Instagram accounts on gameday and prepare content for the mass messaging platform.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.

Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful.

Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.

Knowledge of Microsoft software.

1-2 years of related office experience.

 

Salary:

$50,000 per year.
