Title: Assistant Volleyball Coach

 

Position Summary:

Duke University is seeking a qualified candidate for the Assistant Volleyball Coach position. This position will assist the Head Coach with all phases of a Division I Volleyball program including organizing, planning and coaching.

 

Essential Functions:

· Responsible for assisting with phases of a Division I Volleyball program, within University, ACC and NCAA rules and regulations.

· Provide resources and lessons to enhance skill development

· Assist with the creation and implementation of offensive/defensive systems to prepare student athletes to compete.

· Understanding and utilizing volleyball analytics for education and scouting.

· Assist with recruiting

· Assist with travel planning

· Assist with practice planning, scouting and preparation

· Maintaining necessary compliance documents

· Assist with home competition operations

· Other duties as assigned by the head coach

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Prior playing or coaching experience preferably at the Division I level preferred

· A commitment to knowing and complying with NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

· Ability to work with a diverse population

· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

· Knowledge of intercollegiate sports operations

· Ability to travel extensively during the recruiting process

· Ability to work in a highly dynamic and diverse university setting
