Assistant Coach, Field Hockey

Candidate must have a demonstrated background in coaching or playing field hockey on the college level, and successful, proven experience in recruiting student athletes. Primary duties include, but are not limited to (See job posting for full list of responsibilities and qualifications):

• Assisting the Head Coach with daily practice planning, on-field coaching, video analysis, scouting of opponents, and player evaluation and feedback;

• Goalkeeper development

• Assisting and mentoring student athletes with academic progress, course selection, campus involvement and social/community outreach, and other issues related to the college experience

• Recruiting which includes the drafting and sending recruiting correspondence, attending recruiting events, maintaining the recruiting database, and coordinating campus visits;

• Planning team travel; and

• Assisting the head coach in daily administrative tasks.
