The storied Dartmouth Football program, boasting an Ivy League-leading 22 championships, is seeking a Director of Football Performance to help build on its legacy. We are already hard at work preparing for the 2025 season as we look forward to the opportunity to compete for a third consecutive Ivy League title and—for the first time in history—earn the right to represent our time-honored league in the NCAA Division I Championship (FCS) playoffs.
This re-imagined role will be pivotal to our success by designing and implementing a comprehensive, best-in-class physical preparation framework to enhance athletic performance, minimize injury risk, and sustain a culture of championship habits and behaviors within the daily training environment, in close collaboration with the head coach. The Director will collaborate seamlessly with Dartmouth Peak Performance (DP2), leveraging interdisciplinary expertise to provide holistic support for student-athletes’ health, wellness, and development—empowering them to excel both on and off the field.
While football will be the primary focus of this position, there may be opportunities to extend support to Dartmouth’s other 34 varsity teams based on candidate experience and needs of the department.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A bachelor’s or graduate degree in a relevant field
Certification through the NSCA (CSCS) or CSCCa (SCCC)
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant football experience
Demonstrated readiness to lead a nationally competitive FCS program
Minimum salary: $80,000
