
CSA Search & Consulting is seeking an experienced and strategic finance professional to serve as our Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This individual will provide financial leadership and guidance as we continue to grow, helping ensure the organization remains financially strong, scalable, and positioned for long-term success. This role is ideal for a seasoned CFO, finance executive, or senior financial consultant who enjoys partnering with entrepreneurial leadership teams and supporting strategic decision-making.
Location: Remote
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Estimated Commitment: Expected average of 5–10 hours per week, with flexibility for additional engagement during budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and other strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and review the company’s financial operations and reporting
Provide strategic financial guidance to leadership
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Monitor cash flow and recommend strategies to optimize financial performance
Develop and refine financial models to support business growth and decision-making
Review and advise on financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Partner with external accounting, tax, and payroll providers as needed
Oversee accounts receivable processes, including client invoicing and payment tracking
Monitor outstanding receivables and support collection efforts as needed
Coordinate with internal staff and external partners to ensure timely and accurate billing
Maintain financial records and reporting systems to support organizational operations
Provide insight on compensation planning, contractor utilization, and organizational growth strategies
Prepare financial analyses and reports for executive leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor on financial risks, opportunities, and long-term planning
Qualifications
Significant experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or financial consultant
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial strategy
Experience supporting small businesses, professional services firms, or growing organizations preferred
Ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
CPA designation preferred but not required
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and structured as a 1099 independent contractor engagement.
