This role will assist the creative services department to oversee the implementation of the marketing and communication efforts of Creighton Athletics. Position is responsible for developing and maintaining content to help promote all 14 Division I sports supported at the university. Responsible for assisting with all digital marketing, social media, graphic design and photography efforts for the department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing department and team social media accounts
Developing and maintaining content strategies for 15 social accounts on 3 separate platforms
Providing graphic design for all 15 of the social accounts on each platform and for the department to use in ways outside of social media — such as billboards, event programs, advertisements, and more
Managing branding efforts
Assisting in photographic and video efforts — including the shooting, organizing, editing, and uploading of games, events, and practices
Participating in managing the website and other duties as assigned
Assisting in creating content for recruiting efforts
Managing student interns and Graduate Assistants
Must be able to organize intern and Graduate Assistant schedules, including managing sign-ups, work schedules, and game assignments. In addition to intern and Graduate Assistants’ schedules, this role must be able to manage the game and event schedule of their full-time coworkers and discover, contact, and hire freelancers when needed.
Must establish and maintain a base for communicating with coaching staff of all programs on the efforts put into their respective social media accounts, which includes communication to the public fan-bases, university community, and student-athletes, promotional projects, scheduling changes, and building desire to attend and support. This requires strong communication and presentation of the brand to those potentially first being introduced to Creighton Athletics. Strong graphic design, video editing, and social media analytics skills are required. Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association.
