CSU Pueblo Athletics is seeking a Facilities and Event Management Intern to be responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination and execution of all home contests and special events throughout the academic year. This position will also oversee facilities with the sport supervisors, ensuring a high-quality experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, visiting teams and spectators while maintaining compliance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies.

 

This position is a 10-month, part-time role that has the capacity to transition to full-time employment. Every effort will be made to make the job as complete as possible while supporting a 20-sport varsity program that competes at the NCAA Division II level within the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Gameday operations manager for home sporting events with support from specific event game administrators and sport supervisors

  • Ensure that game officials are scheduled and confirmed for all events via RefQuest.

  • Organize volunteers for events, as needed.

  • Liaison for visiting team and game officials prior to an event.

  • Ensure all items necessary for home game management are properly planned.

  • Develop game-day scripts (various sports including volleyball and basketball).

  • Place work orders and work with university facilities staff to ensure facilities are operated as intended.

  • Scheduling facilities for practices and contests (Teamworks and EMS).

  • Send out weekly event schedules to campus entities and other partners.

  • Create Facility Use Agreements for external entities.

  • Serve as a vital member of the senior leadership team within Athletics

  • Adhere to RMAC and NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Duties as assigned by Associate AD and VP for Athletics.
