The Associate Athletic Director for Compliance reports to the University President with an indirect reporting line to the University Chief of Staff and the Director of Athletics (or designee). This position will lead the departmental athletics compliance program by creating, maintaining and monitoring a compliant environment that results in clear institutional control. This position leads the Athletics Compliance Office and oversees the management of all processes, procedures, and systems necessary to assist the department in complying with NCAA, conference, and any other essential governing bodies rules and regulations for 16 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports. Oversight includes the investigations of rules violations in consultation with internal and external constituents as needed, reporting requirements, and appeal and waiver processes. The position is responsible for necessary training and development of two full-time AP employees and for fostering a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness within the compliance office.
