SUMMARY

Serves as the primary administrator for student-athlete engagement, including SAAC and conference outreach initiatives. Serves as primary administrator for conference DEIB initiatives. Assists the Senior Associate Commissioner for Compliance and Governance with transactional compliance & governance matters. Assists the sport administration staff with general championship operations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CONFERENCE SAAC PROGRAM

I. Serves as the primary administrator for all matters related to the Conference SAAC program and student-athlete engagement. Schedule, create materials for and facilitate all conference calls and in-person business meetings.

II. Supports and prepares the national SAAC representative with participation in National SAAC meetings, including collecting feedback from the membership.

III. Support and prepare student-athlete representatives on NCAA sport-specific student-athlete committees (e.g., Football and Men’s/Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete Engagement Group, etc.)

IV. Leads and advises the Conference SAAC program throughout the year. This includes, but is not limited to, meeting with the Executive Board, overseeing Conference-wide initiatives, overseeing community engagement, education on NCAA compliance and governance matters, formulating Conference position on NCAA legislation and promoting the Conference SAAC program.

V. Works in collaboration with the Executive Associate Commissioner Internal Affairs & CFO on the development and management of the budget related to the Conference SAAC program.

VI. Assists the Associate Commissioner, Digital Engagement & Social Promotion with maintaining the SAAC page on the Conference website.

CAA FAMILY UNITED FOR CHANGE PROGRAM

I. Serves as the primary administrator for all matters related to the Conference United for Change program and DEIB initiatives.

II. Schedule, create materials for and facilitate all conference calls with the Executive Committee.

III. Assists the Associate Commissioner, Digital Engagement & Social Promotion with maintaining the webpage on the Conference website.

COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE

I. Assists the Senior Associate Commissioner (Compliance & Governance) with supporting Conference office staff and CAA institutional personnel regarding NCAA compliance-related matters.

II. Creates annual academic calendars to assist with scheduling Conference championships and other events

SPORT ADMINISTRATION

I. Assists the Deputy Commissioner with the conference athletic and scholar-athlete awards programs, including but not limited to, annual review of awards, communication with the awards vendor throughout the year and compiling nominee information for the scholar-athlete awards.

II. Assists with championship operations and sport administration matters.

OTHER

I. Assists in special projects and other duties as assigned.

II. Ability to work nights and/or weekends when required travel to Conference meetings and championships.

III. Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds.

SKILLS

I. Must be proficient with: Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel; NCAA LSDBi, RSRO, EC, NLI, IPP.

II. Be able to effectively communicate orally or in written form.

PRINCIPLE CONTACTS

Daily: CAA Staff, CAA Member Institutions

Weekly: Other CAA staff members, student athletes

Monthly: NCAA, External vendors

Must be able to anticipate potential problems and problems solve in possible high energy, fast paced environments; must be able to multi-task; should be able to create positive working relationships and can work with diverse personalities in a tactful and positive manner.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver’s License

This is a mid-level position with minimum 3-5 years of experience required and the salary range of $50,000 to $51,500. This position has the option of remote work within the eastern time zone and will be required to travel to various championships and conference meetings.
