JOB SUMMARY:

Collaborates with Associate Athletic Director for Compliance Services (AADCS) to ensure compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA), Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), and institutional regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

20% - Essential - Serve as Bylaw Practitioner for NCAA Bylaw 11 (Athletics Personnel):  Monitor and document legislative requirements related to NCAA Bylaw 11 for all twenty-one (21) sports including, but not limited to staff declarations, new hire compliance background reviews, outside athletically related income and benefits, personnel approvals (non-coaching staff, volunteer assistants, etc.) in conjunction with the sport contact.

15% - Essential - Serve as Bylaw Practitioner for NCAA Bylaw 13 (Recruiting):  Monitor legislative requirements related to NCAA Bylaw 13 for all twenty-one (21) sports including, but not limited to recruiting calendars, contacts and evaluations, and recruiting phone logs. Monitor and document legislative requirements related camps and clinics for all 21 sport.

40% - Essential - Serve as Bylaw Practitioner for NCAA Bylaw 17 (Playing and Practice Seasons):  Monitor and document legislative requirements related to NCAA Bylaw 17 for all twenty-one (21) sports including, but not limited to student-athlete time management plan, playing and practice season declarations and countable athletically related activity logs.

20% - Essential - Serves as Sport Contact for assigned sports.  Responsible for interpretive inquires of NCAA and ACC legislation, submitting various waiver requests, investigating rule violations, approving official and unofficial visits and completing initial eligibility evaluations for incoming freshman.

5% - Essential - Oversees all compliance aspects of the donation and autograph request process and complimentary ticket process for all sports. Serves as the SAAC compliance liaison.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - 1+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree

Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  30% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period
  20% - Walk or move about
  40% - Use hands or feet to operate or handle machinery, equipment, etc
  70% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself
  30% - Recognize or inspect visually
  40% - Perceive, observe, clarity of vision

WORKING CONDITIONS:

   5% - Overnight Travel

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
