Athletics Travel Manager

Purpose of Position

This position will manage all aspects of travel for the department of athletics to ensure all teams and individuals plan for and safely complete all travel requirements in a manner that is compliant with state, institutional, and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once in an organized manner within a professional environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, key vendors, and exercise good judgment

  • Ability to work with confidential information as it relates to the Athletic Department

  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database software

  • Thorough attention to detail

  • Knowledge of computer systems

  • Knowledge of group travel planning

Required Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Experience providing administrative support in an office setting.

Additional Consideration(s)

Experience: Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ChromeRiver

Conditions of Employment

This is a classified position. New and returning classified employees are required to complete a 12-month probationary period;

Selected candidate must attend 2-day New Employee Orientation Program.
