The Director of Athletics is the chief athletics officer representing the athletics department and reports directly to the President. This position provides oversight, guidance, and supervision for all aspects of the men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletic sports programs and facilities. The position develops a collaborative productive partnership between the Athletics Department and academic enterprise, student affairs, enrollment management, college relations, CSC Foundation, and enhance the public perception of the College and Eagle Athletics. Responsible for administering all aspects of the athletic program in accordance with the college’s mission and vision, and policies along with those of the NCAA, RMAC, and other regulatory bodies.
- At least ten years of directly related professional experience at the college level with five or more years of experience in an athletic administrative position (e.g., Director, Deputy Director, Associate, or Assistant Director)
- Experience managing substantial budgets, success in fundraising and/or revenue generation
- Record of developing strong partnerships within the college community and/or the community at-large
- Proven record of collaborating effectively with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external constituents to create a collegial work environment
- Experience and commitment to providing leadership to a student-centered comprehensive College and enhancing the development of students
- Ability to plan, develop, and implement significant strategic initiatives
