Responsible for the management of all current and future Ice Arena community hockey programming; including youth and adult classes and leagues, as well as University Student Programming. Additional expectations include facility supervision, learning programs and management software, supervision of student staff, liaison with Bowling Green Youth Hockey Association, and superior customer service skills. The working hours for this position include nights and weekends.
Administrative duties to organize, implement, and maintain programs and leagues for community youth, adults and BGSU Students.
Rotationally serve as a Building Manager, acting as the point contact for customer concerns and situations, as well as the responsibilities of opening and closing the facility.
Serve as a primary administrative contact to a wide variety of user groups (both internal and external to the University)
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise youth hockey instructors and adult hockey referees, score keepers, and building operation staff.
Serve as a liaison between the campus recreation, intramurals, student engagement and Ice Arena to coordinate programming and instructional classes for students.
Assist in Falcon Hockey Game Management

The following Degree is required:
Bachelor’s degree. Degree must be conferred at the time of application.
The following Degree is preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Coaching, Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field.
The following Experience is required:
1 year of facility or programming management experience
2 years of graduate or student experience equals 1 year of professional experience
The following Experience is preferred:
Staff supervision preferred
The following Certifications are required: (Current certifications should be documented on your resume/application or uploaded as additional documents)
Certification in Ice Arena Programming must be obtained within the first year of employment.
AED, CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen Certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good written and verbal skills
Human relations skills
Strong understanding of community and community groups, and ability to recruit new user groups to facility
Knowledge of current industry trends and the ability to implement
