
Assist the Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Governance and Eligibility to ensure adherence with all aspects of NCAA, MAC, and CCHA rules and regulations governing intercollegiate athletic operations. Responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the athletics compliance office; monitoring NCAA Bylaws 12 – 17; provide daily assistance with rules interpretations; and assist in the certification of initial and continuing student-athlete eligibility.
Assist in monitoring all areas of personnel, amateurism, recruiting, eligibility, financial aid, awards, and benefits, as well as playing seasons.
Coordinate the advisement of incoming recruited student-athletes related to NCAA initial eligibility requirements. Complete preliminary evaluations, identify deficiencies, and crate a plan for eligibility upon full-time enrollment at BGSU. Assist as needed with the NCAA Eligibility Center and with the NCAA on various eligibility issues.
Research and provide rules interpretations for athletic department staff members, including researching questions regarding NCAA rules presented by coaching staff, athletic administrators, and personnel from other departments.
Assist with the approval of official and unofficial visits. Including collection of all paperwork to ensure compliance with NCAA guidelines.
Assist with rules education processes.
Assist in preparing mandatory NCAA, MAC and CCHA and institutional reports.
Assist in preparing NCAA, MAC and CCHA waiver requests.
Assist with the investigation and reporting of all NCAA violations with the Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Governance and Eligibility.
Assist with monitoring team rosters (e.g. roster additions and deletions) and approving playing and practice season rules (e.g., practice logs, season declarations).
Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Governance and Eligibility.

1 year of experience in intercollegiate athletics, compliance, academics or a related field

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with the university’s vehicle use policy.
