Director, Premium Seating

The Director of Premium Seating will oversee the premium seating portfolio for all season ticketed events, tailgating, and the complexity of game day parking and operations. This position will work in tandem with our major gifts team and is responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with potential and current premium seating level donors and for facilitating all phases of the premium seating cycle including contracts, priority ranking, benefit activation, and waitlists. This team-oriented position serves as a key member of a highly-motivated Bronco Athletic Association staff, and will contribute to meeting a shared set of priorities and objectives focused on revenue generation, stewardship, and annual drives.

Essential Functions:

● Manage all sales and efforts related to premium seating for all athletic events.
● Manage BAA parking and tailgates for all football and men’s basketball athletic events.
● Cultivate and involve prospects by developing personal relationships and making personal visits.
● Work with stakeholders to increase support and gain new membership.
● Manage redemption of Bronco Athletic Association (BAA) membership priority ranking benefits.
● Manage all premium seating ticket operations processes from initial contact through to post-event follow up.
● Oversee premium seating and tailgating game day activation including working with Stueckle Sky Center event and catering staff on managing attendee experience.
● Serve as a key liaison to the Ticket Office.
● Help manage and grow athletics’ trade programs, including trade deals with restaurants, hotels and car dealerships.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary/Basic Function:

This position is responsible for managing Boise State Athletics’ annual program. The role is to be outbound working with current stakeholders and potential donors to support Boise State athletics.

Level Scope:

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Attention to detail, experience planning and organizing
● Donor experience in the areas of identification, cultivation, and solicitation. Must be able to develop good relationships with prospective/current donors
● Ability to manage prospects from identification through the entire cultivation process leading into stewardship
● Working knowledge of and experience in professional practices of major gift and annual giving fundraising
● Experience with membership/fund development or related sales experience
● Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrating professional grammar usage and experience making presentations
● Strong understanding of the philosophy of quality service and the group process with proven aptitude for working as part of a team and fostering the principles of community
● Must be available as needed for evening and/or weekend work coinciding with events and meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years experience or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience working with Paciolan/Ticketmaster, Salesforce CRM.
● Three (3)+ years of experience working in a collegiate or professional sports ticket sales or development office environment.
● Three (3) years of experience with helping manage premium ticketing, parking, and tailgating.
● Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary starts at $53,456/yr and is commensurate with experience.
