
The Big Ten Conference is seeking candidates for the position of Events & Operations Associate. This two-year, full-time position assists with the planning and execution of events, tournaments, and championships. The associate position provides an opportunity to gain introductory experience and foundational knowledge of collegiate athletics administration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support the planning and execution of assigned Conference events, championships, and tournaments
Provide administrative and day-to-day support for the Events & Operations department
Assist department leaders with special projects and initiatives
Assist with day-to-day operations with the Big Ten Conference Center, as necessary
Build foundational knowledge of event planning and on-site event execution within collegiate sports
Foster a culture of inclusion to support a diverse environment

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree is required
1 year of events, operations, or facilities experience within athletics is preferred
Ability to maintain punctual attendance, timely correspondence, and a keen eye to detail
A passion for building a career in collegiate athletics
Commitment to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours when necessary
Commitment to an in-office work schedule
