Compensation: $625 per week, plus approved overtime.
Term: 40-week term, Ideal start date is August 13, 2025 and completing May 27, 2026

What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner of Digital Media and members of the Communications and Branding staff, your work will focus 70% on video production and 30% on asset management. Key responsibilities include:
Assist with the daily management and production of the Conference’s video content
Shoot, produce, and edit a variety of video content including features, highlights, promotions, recaps, and special projects for the Big South Network and social media platforms
Cover major hosted events and championships as assigned, by capturing the intensity and emotion of Big South sports from behind the lens
Tell the story of each event through video, with the intuition to recognize and adapt as that story unfolds and changes in real time
You’ll receive mentorship from seasoned professionals and have the chance to take initiative on creative projects that matter.
Optional on-camera and voice-over opportunities if desired
Collaborate on creative projects and receive real-time feedback
Maintain and organize archived video assets
Learn and modify motion graphics templates in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
Support the technical functionality and upkeep of video equipment
Who We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree required
1-2 years of video production experience preferred
Passion for sports and knowledge across a variety of sports
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro with formal training in videography and storytelling
Comfortable working with professional camcorders, DSLR, studio, or broadcast cameras
Strong understanding of lighting, audio, and on-set production
Familiar with the full video production process, from planning to post
Experience with Photoshop and basic graphic design
Experience in video interviewing
Drone experience preferred; FAA Part 107 drone pilot license a major plus, you may have the opportunity to fly for dynamic aerial content
Creative, organized, motivated, and eager to learn
