Graduate Assistant: Athletic Marketing

Belmont University’s Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position in Athletic Marketing for the 2026-27 & 2027-28 academic years (two-year commitment).Under the supervision of the Assistant AD for Athletic Marketing and Promotions, the successful candidate will oversee marketing and promotions planning and implementation for assigned sports.

Additional duties include but are not limited to:

• Attending and contributing to the discussions at weekly marketing staff meetings • Serving as game producer for assigned sports

• Writing game scripts

• In-game music producer utilizing 7Point Audio music software

• Managing the Bruin Athletics Marketing (BAM) team’s undergraduate interns and volunteers

• Helping with the creation of social media content graphics for in-venue and digital communication

• Assisting with marketing game-day setup and teardown for home athletic events • Coordinating National Anthem singers and Invocation prayers for all home athletic events

Compensation: The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year commitment beginning with the 2026-27 academic year and includes a waiver of 100% of the tuition and consolidated graduate student fees required by the Master of Sport Administration (MSA) graduate program, not to exceed a total of 30 credit hours. The position does not include a stipend. Graduate assistants must maintain at least 6 hours of graduate-level credit per semester to be eligible.

Any other program interests must be communicated with the hiring manager and may be considered for approval.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into Belmont University’s Sport Administration graduate program.

• Prior experience in marketing is highly recommended.

• Graphic design experience in Adobe Photoshop or Canva is highly encouraged.

• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

• Enthusiasm for the marketing process and attentiveness to detail on project goals is highly valued.

• Must be able to work evening and weekend events.

• Additionally, applicants must submit to a criminal background check, subject to review and approval by Belmont University.
