
The Ball State University Ticket Office is in search of a Graduate Assistant for the 2026-27 athletic year. The purpose of the Athletics Graduate Assistant program is to support promising individuals who are committed to a career in intercollegiate athletics and to continue their education at the graduate level.
This is a full graduate assistantship position. You will work an average of 20 hours each week during the 2026-27 academic year. You will receive a stipend and tuition remission benefits. (Student is responsible for paying any associated academic/enrollment fees.) To maintain a graduate assistantship appointment, all graduate students must also maintain good academic standing* with the University.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist with ticket office walkup and inbound phone sales for Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Volleyball, Gymnastics, and Football
Participate in game day operations by overseeing will-call and conducting walk-up sales
Assist with reconciliation of event sales and help with reporting of revenue generation, event attendance and ticket-related donations
Serve as Box Office Manager and supervise game day ticket operations for assigned sports
Build events, promo codes, group sales links and other ticketed items to sell online
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Ticket Operations
Supervise part-time staff during daily operating hours as well as event volunteers
Assist in the renewal process for season tickets with an emphasis on client retention
Assist with creation of events and revenue reports
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or higher education <LI>Must be enrolled in a graduate program at Ball State University, beginning with the Fall 2026 semester
Prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics
Strong customer service skills and organizational skills
Experience in cash handling
Experience in ticketing software
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of and compliance with specific NCAA, MAC, and institution rules that relate to this position
A positive, service-oriented attitude to work and interact with staff, faculty, and student-athletes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate project goals to all members of the ticket office and external division
Must be highly organized, and multi-task oriented
*Ball State University Graduate School Requirements for Good Academic Standing: 3.0 for a Master's student and 3.2 for a Doctoral student; enrolled in at least 6 graduate credit hours per semester. For master’s students, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on their undergraduate degree (or 3.0 in the latter half of the previous degree) is required to obtain an assistantship. For doctoral students, a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required and a minimum graduate GPA of 3.2 on their master’s degree (if a master’s degree is required for admission).
